Margaret Drescher

Margaret Drescher lives and works, with her husband Jim, at Windhorse Farm in Nova Scotia, Canada. They are the founders and directors of this 250 acre heritage farm and forest using Shambhala Principles. These are lived as a living experiment, “The Windhorse Way”, in hosting the community, land stewardship and leadership programming on this place of sustainability and magic. Margaret is trained as a Landscape Horticulturist, a long time student of the Sakyongs and works in social innovation and Women’s leadership in North America and abroad. She is one of the “Group of 6” who pioneered the settling of Shambhala International in Nova Scotia in 1979 and never looked back. She is a mother and grandmother of 5.
