Thomas Haynes

Tom has been a student of meditation in this lineage since 1976 with the Atlanta sangha. He attended seminary in 1990 and has been a Shambhala Training director and teacher of Buddhist classes since 1991 (and former Atlanta ST Resident Director, 1991-1997). He started Tuesday Night Open House at the Atlanta Center and and led it for 10 years. He has been married for 31 years and retired for the past 4 and a half years after working as an administrative director of several psychiatric units in a state mental health facility. After retirement, Tom has taken several cooking classes and enjoys grocery shopping and preparing meals on occasion. He is also more free to travel and teach the Dharma since retiring.
