Mark Nowakowski

Mark Nowakowski met the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1972 and has been his student ever since. He also studies and translates with many other Kagyü and Nyingma masters. Mark is particularly inspired by the works of Chögyam Trungpa and his teacher Khenpo Gangshar. In 1975, Mark attended the first teaching seminar that Chögyam Trungpa gave on The Sadhana of Mahamudra at Karmê Chöling. In 1985, Mark worked with Chögyam Trungpa translating a more literal edition of this sadhana. He recently coordinated the translation and publication of Songs of Realization and Pith Instructions by Khenpo Gangshar. Mark is a senior member of the Nalanda Translation Committee and teacher in the Shambhala mandala. He enjoys teaching and discussing the dharma with friends, especially the vajrayana.
