Lisa Kraus

Ms. Kraus is an internationally recognized dance artist. She was a member of the Trisha Brown dance company (1976-82) and rehearsal director for Brown's Glacial Decoy at the Paris Opera Ballet (2003-2004). Her solo and group choreography, often layering movement with media and spoken narrative, has been featured by venues across the US, Europe, and Australia and awarded support from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and others. Currently on the faculty of Swarthmore College, Lisa has held teaching posts at Naropa University, New York University's Experimental Theater Wing, and at the European Dance Development Center in Arnhem, the Netherlands. She has been a practitioner of Shambhala Buddhism since 1976.
