About Lauren Sanford
Lauren Sanford grew up in a Shambhala Buddhist family and began meditating as a teen. After working at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on youth related projects she moved to Karmê Chöling in 2010 where she currently lives. She oversees Youth and Family Programs at Karmê Chöling and has taught and developed retreats for school and youth groups at Karmê Chöling. In her free time Lauren enjoys cooking, working with people, spending time in the forest, and knitting. She aspires to integrate mindfulness practice into the lives of youth while working in the public health field.
