Joe Inskeep

Mr. Inskeep began study and practice with the Vidyadhara, Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in Austin Texas in 1979 and has been directing Shambhala Training seminars since 1986. He was director of the Austin Shambhala Center in the 1980’s and Ambassador to the Boston Shambhala Center in the 1990’s. In Boston he also served as Warrior of the Center and as a member of the Board of Trustees. In 2004 he was appointed by the Sakyong to Shambhala’s international governing body, then called the Sakyong’s Council. While that Council was disbanded in 2010, Joe continues to serve in the role he held on it: Chair of the Mandala Structure and Governance Working Group. He lives in Boston with his wife of 32 years.
