John Ankele

John Ankele has studied and practiced in both the Shambhala and Zen Buddhist traditions and has been a teacher of Shambhala Training for the past 12 years. As as a graduate of Union Theological Seminary, he is a participant in the ongoing conversation between Buddhists , Christians, and Jews. Professionally, John is a documentary film maker working in the area of public policy and social ethics. He and his co-producer, Anne Macksoud, have just completed "Grandmother To Grandmother: New York To Tanzania," a film about grandmothers raising grandchildren in the Bronx, NY and in rural Tanzania.
