David Stone

David Stone has been a Shambhala Buddhist practitioner since 1974 and currently serves as Co-Director for Teaching at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Chicago. He also studies buddhism with Jetsun Khandro Rinpoche. As a senior teacher in Chicago, he directs Shambhala Training programs and teaches Buddhist classes and Mudra Space Awareness. He began practicing Mudra in 1975 in Boulder and was Co-Director of the Mudra Theater Group from 1978 to 1983. During his years in Mudra he was involved in teaching the practice and working under Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in the production of the plays that he wrote such as The Water Festival, Proclamation, Child of Unison, The Kingdom of Philosophy and others. He has taught the space awareness practice throughout North America and Europe. David moved to Chicago in 2003, where he has a private healing practice in Classical Five Element Acupuncture, Plant Spirit Medicine and Zero Balancing, and continues to study and teach on healing.
