David Nichtern

David Nichtern is a senior meditation teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and his son, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. David is also the Director of Buddhist Studies and Practice at OM Yoga, founded by Cyndi Lee, David's wife. Co-creators of the OM Yoga & Meditation Workshop DVD, Cyndi and David teach workshops together and apart around the world. David is one of the leading writers for the Living section of the Huffington Post and is also an Emmy Award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated composer, guitarist, and producer. He is known for his warmth and humor, and his ability to present the richness and depth of the Buddhist tradition while making it accessible and relevant. His new book, Awakening From the Daydream: The Wheel of Life will be published in 2012 by Wisdom Publications.
