Aaron De Long

Aaron de Long grew up working on fruit, flower and vegetable farms in southeastern Pennsylvania. A trained research biologist, he came back to agriculture through the agroecology apprentice program at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In his second year at UCSC, he helped to design and teach the program’s organic gardening curriculum. Before moving to Karme Choling, he was the farm manager for a 75 member CSA farm in Pennsylvania. He is currently entering his fourth season in the Karme Choling garden. Aaron is a long-time practitioner in the Shambhala lineage.
