It builds the foundation for the higher levels of Nei Dan (Internal Alchemy) and is required for those who are planning to continue through Qigong Levels 7, 8, and 9. This retreat covers: Qigong Through the Seasons Studying and practicing qigong through the seasons as defined by the three Chinese calendars: The solar calendar that forms the basis of Chen Xiyi’s 24 Seasons Qigong, organ nourishing, and absorbing the vapors; the lunar calendar that is the foundation of jing cultivation; and the bagua calendar that tunes the body to the natural cycle of environmental changes. Meditating the Taoist Way Practicing the 7 forms of Taoist Meditation. These techniques were introduced in the recent revised curriculum of the Qigong and Meditation Retreat. Those who have not been instructed in these 7 techniques must become familiarized with them before advancing beyond Qigong 7. With this you will cross the threshold from being simply a practitioner of qigong to being a practitioner of Nei Dan. The Qigong of Xiantianwujimen Taoism Xiantianwujimen is a Daoist lineage founded by Chen Xiyi in 10th century China. “Xiantian” means primordial, “wuji” means limitless, and “men” means gate.
