Make your check payable to Karmê Chöling and mail it to:

• Write "Gift" on the memo line, and the fund if you are directing it.
• You can also hand it to the front desk during a stay.
• We record it on your giving when it arrives, and it counts toward your annual receipt.

In your bank's bill pay, add Karmê Chöling as a payee at this address and send your gift from there. Your bank prints and mails a check; allow a week or two.

• Put your name and "Gift" in the memo, and the fund if you are directing it.
• We record it on your giving when it arrives, and it counts toward your annual receipt.

If you are 70½ or older, you can give straight from your IRA as a qualified charitable distribution: it counts toward your required minimum distribution and is left out of your taxable income, though it is not deducted again. Ask your IRA custodian to send a check payable to Karmê Chöling:

• If they ask for our EIN, it is 84-0637820.
• Ask them to put your name on the check or its letter; custodians often leave it off.
• We acknowledge it in the words the IRS asks for, and keep it off your annual deductible total.
• Please check the year's limit and your own situation with your tax advisor.
