Qigong Level 6

<p>This program trains you to cultivate, conserve, gather, and circulate internal energy according to seasonal changes and through specific channels in the body.</p><p>The curriculum of Level 6 consists of:</p><ul><li>Instruction in The Dragon-Tiger Frolics, a rigorous physical form of qigong designed to align energy channels and centers.</li><li>Instruction in Chen Xiyi’s Twenty-four Seasonal qigong, a form of qigong that tunes the body’s energy to the seasons and builds immunization to seasonal health hazards.</li><li>Instruction in absorbing the vapors of the seasons and exchanging energy between the energetic body and the natural world.</li><li>Instruction in hand gestures that are designed to direct energy in the body through specific channels.</li><li>Instruction in The Wudangshan Seven Stars Stances, a form of qigong that is designed to open deep circulatory pathways. </li></ul><p> </p><h2>The Qigong of Xiantianwujimen Taoism</h2><p>Xiantianwujimen is a Daoist lineage founded by Chen Xiyi in 10th century China. “Xiantian” means primordial, “wuji” means limitless, and “men” means gate. The translated name of the lineage is Primordial Limitless Gate.</p><p>This lineage specializes in using qigong to simultaneously cultivate and transform body and mind. A hermit and household tradition, Xiantianwujimen has been transmitted uninterrupted for over a thousand years. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm.
